The 22nd issue of V&A Magazine features Jan Dalley on the historic reunion taking place this September at the V&A between Raphael’s Vatican tapestries and their “cartoons”, after 495 years apart. The museum’s current 1:1 Architects Build Small Spaces exhibition is investigated by Tom Dyckhoff, who relishes the surprisingly unusual inclusion of real buildings, as well as the dynamic and revealing designs by architects from Japan, India, Norway, the USA and Brazil. Also in the issue are contestant works competing for the V&A Illustration Awards, the morbidly alluring photography of Craig Deane, the ceramic “wizardry” of Richard Slee, and Paul Barker remembering classic photography and New Society.
